On the Prowl

I've never seen seagulls eat anything other than food from dumpsters. The ones at the lake shore seem to just float on the water, or fly above, circling. I haven't seen them dip into the water to catch the daily. 

Apparently, they are "scavengers," but this description places them more as carnivores.

...seagulls are actually exceptionally adaptable hunters in the wild.

This seagull was flying low, just above these two ducks, a male and female mallard. The ducks seemed unconcerned, but I wouldn't have been!
