Truckers in Ottawa

Truckers' Convoy Through Regina, Saskatchewan

In Ottawa

PM Justin Trudeau has "COVID."

This is a bluff if I ever heard one.

An acquaintance who was at the Ottawa protest, where the Truckers' Convoy made its last stop at Parliament Hill, said that news came out that Trudeau wouldn't be at The Hill. Protesters started asking Trudeau to show up and talk to them.

Is "the government" really afraid that some terrorist would detonate a firecracker at the PM? This convoy, which traveled slowly but surely across country had zero, none, record of violence.

Or, there would be some anti-anti-something, a lone loon, who had a personal grievance, and blames somebody, and why not Justin? A PM in "hiding" takes the cake.

In any case, the "investigations" don't hold, says this acquaintance. All the incidents appear to be planned to derail the peaceful protests, and the hundreds of trucks that surrounded Ottawa.

COVID is certainly bringing us unexpected allies.

I saw part of the truckers' convoy a couple of days ago, as they passed under a highway overhead in Mississauga. It was quite a coincidence. I clapped and waved, and cheered for them. Bravo!

But euphoria isn't enough, I told the acquaintance. The hard part starts, with our feet on the ground.
